VerVe Salon is an Aveda concept salon with two Tucson locations that opened their doors in early 2000s. VerVe Salons offers exciting career opportunities from technical experts to entry level guest service representatives to development roles in leadership. We are ultimately looking for passionate team members who have the talent and desire to work in our industry of beauty, style and service.

Our emphasis on initial training and ongoing education is our culture.

Hair Interns

Hair interns should have received their cosmetology license (1600 hours minimum) from an accredited cosmetology school. VerVe hires for an internship that includes working within the VerVe salon locations to help with general salon duties and maintaining the VerVe experience for each guest. Interns will be working full time, an average of 40 hours per week, in the locations. Salon hours are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8am till 8pm and Wednesday and Saturday 8am till 6pm. Once an intern completes the intern program, they can re-apply for a position as a stylist with VerVe.

Guest Service Representative 

Job Summary:

EXCELLENT guest service representatives are fun loving, career orientated individuals that have a passion for serving others. Provide EXCELLENT guest service to all Gadabout SalonSpas and VerVe Salons guests. Responsibilities include greeting guests, salon tours, check in/check out, cash handling, promoting services and products, selling add on services, gift certificates and retail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate excellent guest service to enhance the salon/spa experience for the guest
  • Save the date for guests and schedule appointments based on specific service time requirements  
  • Answer incoming calls using the professional greeting in a timely manner
  • Utilize effective sales skills to communicate current and ongoing promotional programs, services, packages to guests by demonstrating in-depth knowledge of salon/spa offerings
  • Support technicians by managing schedules, handling wait list, and accommodating guests.  
  • Constant focus on maintaining updated guest files
  • Perform general duties as assigned by management in a timely and accurate manner.  
  • Keep work area organized at all times
  • A love for fashion

Job Requirements:

  • Reception desk, hospitality, retail, or guest service experience in a fast-paced environment  
  • Excellent (English speaking) communication skills
  • Maintain high professional standards of service, appearance and behavior
  • Team player with good organizational and interpersonal skills
  • PC and Keyboarding skills
  • Able to handle multiple duties simultaneously
  • Available to work varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.

Key Holder

Job Summary:

FLEXIBILITY is essential for our key holders. Gadabout is ever-changing and our key holders are committed to helping Gadabout achieve excellence. With a concierge mindset and upholding the Gadabout Values and mission statement, our key holders are fun loving and career orientated individuals. Responsibilities include greeting guests, opening and closing the salon, actively participating in all quarterly GSR education classes and quarterly GSR educator meetings.   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Committed to being conscientious of the security of the building-guests and staff.   
  • Answer incoming calls using the professional greeting in a timely manner
  • Utilize effective sales skills to communicate current and ongoing promotional programs, services, packages to guests by demonstrating in-depth knowledge of salon/spa offerings
  • Support technicians by managing schedules, handling wait list, and accommodating guests.   
  • Perform the operations of opening and closing the salon location.   
  • Perform general duties as assigned by management in a timely and accurate manner.   
  • Actively participate in all quarterly GSR education classes and quarterly GSR educator meetings.   
  • Keep work area organized at all times

Guest Service Team Lead

Job Summary:

  • Guest Service Team Leaders are essential to the operations of the guest experience at Gadabout SalonSpas and VerVe Salons. Guest Service Team Leaders are ultimately responsible for the total operations of the front desk, the guest service team, hospitality, home care and the total guest experience. 
  • Their primary responsibility is to coach, manage and follow through so that the Guest Service team is providing excellent hospitality while fulfilling all systems (home care, save the date, new guests, enthusiastic welcome, gracious goodbye) and operations of the computer system.
  • Guest Service Team Leaders direct and coordinate activities of all guest service representatives and hourly staff. Guest Service Team Leaders understand, implement, follow through and coach all opening and closing protocols, proper SalonBiz use, audits and all systems pertaining to the security of our salon, staff and cash responsibilities.
  • Guest Service Team Leaders are responsible for growing our home care sales, save the date numbers and salon retention (new guests and existing guests). Guest Service Team Leaders are the inventory liaison to the distribution center and ensure shelves are properly maintained.
  • Guest Service Team Leaders are also responsible for hospitality and guest satisfaction as well as guest recovery. 
  • Guest Service Team Leaders are required to fulfill all the responsibilities of the role, while following the Gadabout and VerVe behaviors as well as dressing for success in dress code. Professionalism goes beyond the dress code to include looking the part of a beauty professional (professional nails - clean or fully painted, makeup, lipstick, etc)

Massage Therapist

Massage therapists at VerVe provide relaxing spa services as well as treatment massages for regular spa guests. We offer many different types of massage services, with ongoing education benefits for CEU classes.
